Description: Let’s go to the island of Stars — La Palma.
This was the only completely clear night from dusk all the way until dawn that I got to experience on my last day of this astro-trip on La Palma.
Of course, I wanted to make the most of it by photographing various compositions — and this night was far from innocent or easy.
A strong wind made our photography extremely challenging. While I sat in the car to warm up a bit and regain some strength, the car was literally rocking side to side. Truly incredible gusts!!
Because of that, we were forced to be selective with our compositions, and here’s one of the ones i managed to capture!
The view of the GTC telescope put a big smile on my face that night, because it was the first time I saw it in operation, actively exploring the universe with opened dome. That’s exactly why I knew this composition would stand out even more — the telescope was pointed directly toward the Milky Way and the constellation Cygnus, full of reddish nebulae.
