Four years ago, I visited this wonderful Alpine meadow with my family for the first time, and even back then I spotted this beautiful composition. Every year since then, it has stayed in my mind, but the right opportunity never came.

This time, though, everything aligned perfectly to finally realize it: snow, clear night and huge desire to capture night photographs from this breathtaking meadow, which lies within Triglav National Park.

The wooden little house standing on top of the hill turned into a true tiny intergalactic magical cottage during the night. In it, I spent those anxious minutes while waiting for the early morning hours, so that for the first time this year, the core of the Milky Way could appear before my eyes. I placed a small light inside it to conjure up some warmth on this freezing winter night. Above the house, in all its beauty, rises the Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex – one of the most colorful parts of the sky visible to us from Earth. Personally, my favorite constellation: Scorpius .
