Description
Description: This photo was shot under those special moments, where you know that every minute, second is important… And not only that, the photo was created with the help of my big daughter, who helped me photograph it with the greatest pleasure.
Oh, when will I be able to take pictures with you? Dad, I’d like to go with you, are the words he usually utters before i am going on a night photo shooting.
Since she is only 6 years old, my answers are repetitive: when you are gonna be a little older, I will gladly take you with me.
Well, on January 1 this year, we were offered the ideal opportunity to take pictures of the stars together, right on the lawn in front of the house. Not only that, the Northern lights was visible in the sky this evening in Slovenia. Unfortunately we missed the peak by half an hour, but we still managed to catch the reddish SAR Arc (Stable red aurora). It is a specific type of red aurora, but it is much rarer and has different causes compared to ordinary auroras, such as the Northern lights.
I put the remote trigger in her hands, and the joy reached her ears.
Oh how happily she was pressing the buttons. And when we saw an incredibly strong reddish light on the screen, we were both overjoyed to capture this unforgettable moment together, which we also commemorated by posing on a photo.
Despite the fact that I spent most of the time messing with light pollution and overly bright surroundings, I managed to pull out quite a bit of data in the end.
